Kids Oneida Photovoice
Art provides a powerful voice for individuals who may be otherwise unable to share their stories. At Kids Oneida, we strive to help everyone find their individual voice, and to further provide a platform to celebrate these resilient individuals.
In an effort to celebrate the stories of individuals and families who have been positively affected by Kids Oneida services, we have organized an exciting evening to tell these stories through art, video, and photography. In conjunction with Paradigm Consulting, Kids Oneida is proud to present Positive Space: Photovoice 2014.
The artwork and photographs of 18 Kids Oneida teens will be exhibited at this special event. These teens participated in artistic groups which included a variety of art mediums including drawing, painting, and photography. These groups were run as a collaborative effort between Kids Oneida and community partners.
Photovoice will also showcase ten accounts of resilience and strength chronicled through a poignant documentary film. These individuals and families will tell their powerful stories of struggle, tenacity, and triumph through video, photographs, and spoken word.
Please join us on the stage at the Stanley Theater on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. to delight in the compelling stories of these individuals and families.
A Silent Art Auction will take place during the event.
Cash Bar and food catered stations by Daniele's Banquet Specialists.
