The Marshall Tucker Band
The Marshall Tucker Band comes to The Stanley with Opening Act, The Swamp Drivers on Thursday, March 17th at 8 p.m.
Formed in 1972, The Marshall Tucker Band is originally from Spartanburg, South Carolina. The band's blend of rock, rhythm and blues, jazz, country and gospel helped establish the 'Southern rock' music genre in the early 1970's. The Marshall Tucker Band has recorded and performed continuously for 44 years, led by original member and singer Doug Gray. No strangers to Central New York, this is The Marshall Tucker Band's first ever appearance at The Stanley Theatre in Utica.
The Swamp Drivers are Four Professional musicians with Redneck ingenuity that make high energy music with unique instruments like no other band in the USA. With Primordial drivin, rockin party music straight from the swamp, we will keep your customers coming back for more. Their repertoire is a mix of crankin originals to covers from ZZ Top to BB King played on crazy home made instruments ranging from a 1 string garden hoe to a 4 string boat oar. This high energy band is something that has to be seen to believe.
This concert is presented by The Stanley Theatre and produced by Kessler Promotions.
