I Love the 90s Tour
“I Love the 90s Tour” is coming to the Stanley Friday, February 26, 2016, at 7pm, 97.9/105.5 Kiss-FM will present some of the biggest musical acts on stage for one memorable concert night:
Salt ‘n’ Pepa: Formed in 1985, this trio won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1995, an MTV Video Music Award for Best Electronic Dance Music Video (1994) and several other awards. Their hits include “Shoop,” “Whatta Man,” “Let’s Talk About Sex” and “Push It.”
Rob Base: Teamed with DJ E-Z Rock, Rob Base had several smash hits in 1988-89 with “Joy and Pain,” “It Takes Two” and “Get On The Dance Floor.”
Coolio: Another Grammy Award winner, Coolio recorded two of the biggest rap songs of all-time: 1994’s “Fantastic Voyage” and “Gangsta’s Paradise” in 1995, which reached number one for three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the number one song for all of 1995.
Tone Loc: the gravelly-voiced singer from Los Angeles is a multi-award winner, including two Grammys, with two of the best-known singles in the late 1980s – “Wild Thing,” which peaked at #2 in 1988 on the Billboard Top 100 Singles chart, and “Funky Cold Medina,” a #3 hit in 1989.
