The Phantom of The Opera

The Westmoreland Drama Club of Westmoreland, NY proudly presents their 2023 production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, on March 10th and 11th, both at 7:00 p.m., at The Stanley Theatre. Tickets are $12, or $10 for students/seniors, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or by calling The Stanley Theatre Box Office at 315-724-4000.

Winner of seven 1988 Tony Awards including Best Musical, The Phantom of the Opera is the longest-running show in Broadway history with over 13,000 performances to date and includes Webber’s unforgettable music, including “Music of the Night”, “All I Ask of You”, and the title theme.

Based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra by Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.
