The Stanley is thrilled to host the 32nd annual “An Artistic Discovery” Congressional Art Competition with U.S. Representative Richard Hanna. "An Artistic Discovery" is an art competition for high school students sponsored by Congressman Hanna and administered locally for Oneida County High School students.
A reception with light refreshments will be held on Thursday, April 3rd from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. to open “An Artistic Discovery” Congressional Art Competition in The Stanley’s Tolles Gallery located on the second floor, south wing, where all entries from Oneida County students will be displayed. The six finalists will be announced at the reception, and will then be featured in an exhibit along with the finalists from other participating counties at MWPAI on Saturday, May 3rd. The winner of the district contest will have their artwork sent to Washington D.C., to be displayed in the tunnel leading to the U.S. Capitol Building, with wining entries throughout the Nation.
