The Community Foundation’s Speaker Series: Don Marinelli

With a history of bringing inspirational speakers to our community, The Community Foundation’s Speaker Series will continue this March with edutainment wizard and creative conjurer Don Marinelli, co-founder of the world-renowned Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center.

Doors open at 5:30pm for networking and cash bar. The show will begin at 6:30pm.

The Speaker Series seeks to inspire the community to envision the potential of our region and take steps to create positive change.

Marinelli has been behind various downtown Pittsburgh redevelopment initiatives as well as a consultant on a variety of projects related to community advancement. Pittsburgh, much like the Mohawk Valley, struggled to recover after its industrial base left the region. In recent years, innovative redevelopment initiatives based on the intersection of art, technology and education have helped propel Pittsburgh beyond its history to become one of the most vibrant metropolitan areas in the United States. The Mohawk Valley has always been rich with an appreciation for arts and culture, and now we are experiencing growth through economic development and new technology projects. Don Marinelli will inspire our community to understand how these varying elements, when aligned, create greater outcomes than any could achieve individually.
